Scotland Yard Won't Release Ripper Files - The New American

Scotland Yard Won't Release Ripper Files - The New American: "

Scotland Yard Won't Release Ripper Files The New American Using the strange excuse of compromising terror investigations, London's metro police refuse to release a list of informants in the unsolved case of Jack the Ripper. The Ripper murders occurred in 1888 in Whitechapel, a run-down section of London now ...

COMMENT: Scotland Yard owes the world an apology for its intransigence on this issue. It is appalling that after 123 years, it continues to resist the disclosure of these important historical files. Or, is there something more sinister? Is Scotland Yard holding back these files because they reveal who the true Monster of London's East End really was and this would be embarrassing to the Establishment in London. There can be no other valid excuse for Scotland Yard's unwillingness to expose these files to public scrutiny.

Who was Jack the Ripper?

'One day men will look back and say I gave birth to the twentieth century' ~Jack~

Who Was Jack The Ripper?

In London’s East End during 1888-89 someone or something committed acts of such depravity that their crimes have still not been forgotten over 100 years on. Everyone from an actor, a famous artist and even a member of the Royal family have all fallen under suspicion. Some people also believe that the murderer was a freemason and that the crimes were covered up by them. A supposed diary of ‘Jack the Ripper made the headlines a few years ago, only for it’s owner to confess to forgery. However, too many pieces of information within the diary suggest that the ‘owner’ may have been trying to protect himself.

FBI Techniques

When dealing with multiple homicide cases and serial killers the FBI use a technique called ‘mapping murder’ If we look at the map below, all of the murders are surrounding a central point. This central point (denoted by the green circle) is the most likely area to be the Murderer’s home or safe house.

The interesting point when looking at this map is that some Ripperologists suggest that Martha Tabram was Jack the Rippers first victim. Her murder wasn’t planned as the attack seemed frenzied and unorganised. Maybe the killer got the taste for blood and decided to deliberately go further afield to avoid detection.

FBI Criminal Profile

JACK THE RIPPER WAS:

............White male, aged 28 to 36, living or working in the Whitechapel area.

..........In childhood, there was an absent or passive father figure.

..........The killer probably had a profession in which he could legally experience his destructive tendencies.

.......Jack the Ripper probably ceased his killing because he was either arrested for some other crime, or felt himself close to being discovered as the killer.

.......The killer probably had some sort of physical defect which was the source of a great deal of frustration or anger.

Suggested Suspects from police at the time and modern day Ripperologists

Lewis Carroll......lived outside circle, doesn’t fit description or profile

Frederick Deeming......Hung for other murders too long after last ripper murder. Lived outside the circle.

James Kelly......Dubious whether he was in London at time of murders. Fits Profile and Description. He died 38 years after the last murder with no suspicion of other murders.

Aaron Kosminski......Doesn’t fit profile or description. May have been locked up for one of the murders.

None of the above...... Fits Profile & description and lived within the circle.

Thomas Cutbush...... Fits the Profile but doesn’t fit the description or live within the circle.

Francis Tumblety......Doesn’t Fit Profile or description but lived within the circle.

Walter Sickert......Doesn’t Fit Profile or description or live within the circle.

William Gull......Doesn’t Fit Profile or description or live within the circle.

Michael Ostrog......Petty thief. Lived outside circle. Doesn’t fit profile.

George Chapman......Convicted of poisoning so modus operandi totally wrong. Appears to have lived outside the circle.

James Maybrick......If you believe the Ripper diary is genuine...he’s guilty. Appears to have lodged within circle. Fits description but doesn’t fit FBI psychological profile.

Jill the Ripper......Not enough evidence. Doesn’t fit the description or profile.

Hyam Hyams......lived inside circle. Doesn’t fit the description or profile.

Carl Feigenbaum......lived outside circle. Doesn’t fit the description or profile.

Montague Druitt......lived outside circle. Doesn’t fit the description.

Dr. Neil Cream......In prison at time of murders

David Cohen......lived inside circle, doesn’t fit profile

William Bury......lived outside circle, fits profile

Joseph Barnett......lived outside circle, fits profile

Prince Albert Victor.....In Scotland on night of at least one murder

Conclusion

I think it is highly likely that the person or persons that perpetrated these heinous crimes is not on the ripperologists suspects list. The culprit was more than likely ‘a nobody’If you believe the Ripper diary that surfaced in the 1980’s to be genuine then James Maybrick has to be the Killer.

There are many intriguing points that link Maybrick to the murders. Diary of Jack the Ripper...
